How to be Involved

VOLUNTEERING

Dusty's Haven always welcomes volunteers to help with our program. This includes but not limited to: horse grooming, Feeding, cleaning and filling water troughs, stall cleaning, fence repair, truck repair, brush cleanup, etc. Volunteers are needed to cut down some trees to allow the sun to dry up the ground after a rain. Anyone with equine western riding skills knowledge, who would like to volunteer to help, is welcome.Other positions include marketing to local businesses. We are in dire need of this as we need funds to care for the horses.

PROJECTS

We are always in need of cleanup to keep up on pastures. Acquiring funds for a rock picker is vital to our club as we continue to pick up rocks all by hand. This piece of equipment is vital to keep up on arena care as we continually have more and more rocks appear in our arena.Keeping the rocks cleared in the arena will benefit the horses hoof care as horses may and do get stone bruises which make them lame.

We are in the process of clearing more trees to help keep the mud down. Mud and rocks are our worst enemy when it comes to keeping horses hooves healthy.

DONATE TIME

We are in need of assistance to help keep up on the property, barn and fencing around the property, help in grooming horses, as well as help to feed and clean stalls on a daily basis.

Why donate time working around horses? They have a way of de-stressing us as we work. Stress takes the fun out of every day life. Horses give us so much more peace than we could ever give back.

How to become involved: Call or text us at 770-365-1576. If there is no answer, please do not despair. We are busy training and caring for the horses as well as teaching equine education to many children.
